Simple but smart design
The Qrevo Master, unsurprisingly, shares a similar design with other Qrevo models, featuring an autonomous dock and robot. The station includes two top-accessible water tanks: a 4L clean water tank and a 3.5L waste water tank. Additionally, it houses a 2.7L dust bag behind a removable front panel. The dock is relatively compact and narrow, measuring 340 x 487 x 521 mm. Its removable baseplate, equipped with built-in scrapers, simplifies cleaning and maintenance.

The robot has a standard circular shape and measures 350 x 353 x 103 mm. Despite its mid-range positioning, it boasts features akin to the high-end S8 MaxV Ultra, including LiDAR technology and an AI RGB camera for navigation and obstacle detection. It is equipped with two rotating mop pads, one of which can extend to clean along baseboards. For vacuuming, it uses a DuoRoller system with two brushless rollers and includes a FlexiArm side brush for cleaning corners.

The Qrevo Master is available in both black and white. Its build quality is decent, though not as robust as higher-end models.
Supercharged and intuitive app
During the setup process, the robot maps your home using its LiDAR and RGB camera, intelligently partitioning rooms and identifying furniture. The map is highly accurate, effectively distinguishing room boundaries.
Once the map is generated, the app allows you to edit rooms, create virtual and no-go zones, adjust floor surfaces, and modify furniture layouts. The Qrevo Master can save up to four maps and automatically position itself within them.

The Roborock app provides detailed control over cleaning settings, including suction power, mop dampness, and cleaning sequences. These settings can be customized for each room, allowing the robot to clean the kitchen more thoroughly than other areas, for example.
The settings offer extensive customization and adjustments. You can direct the robot to clean along the floor direction and automatically re-mop dirty areas. Additionally, the robot can avoid carpets, lift the mops to prevent wetting, or clean carpets with water. The dock also offers various customization options, such as mop washing water temperature, drying duration, and washing frequency. An off-peak charging option helps save on electricity costs.

The robot’s onboard camera can be used for surveillance, allowing you to move the robot remotely and view a live feed of your home. It also features two-way audio, useful for monitoring pets.
The Roborock Qrevo Master can be controlled using Google Assistant, Alexa, and its built-in voice assistant, Hello Rocky. It does a good job at understanding most commands, and turns toward you when you summon it.
Excellent vacuuming results
The Qrevo Master boasts a powerful 10,000 Pa suction, making it ideal for vacuuming both hard floors and carpets. It effectively removes dirt, dust, and small particles, leaving floors impressively clean. Its FlexiArm robotic side brush sweeps along baseboards, extends to cover corners, and cleans around furniture legs.

I tested it after a walk with my dog in muddy areas, resulting in dust and sand all over the floors. The Qrevo Master handled it efficiently on both hardwood floors and tiles, even reaching into grout lines to ensure no dirt was trapped between tiles.

On carpets, the robot automatically boosts its suction power for a thorough clean. It penetrates deep into rugs to remove embedded dirt. The double brush roller is highly efficient at picking up and removing dirt from both carpets and hard surfaces.
Great mopping efficiency
The Qrevo Master uses two rotating and liftable mop pads to clean floors. The dock washes these pads with hot water before and after each cleaning cycle, ensuring better cleaning results. It also refills the robot’s built-in water tank, allowing it to constantly humidify the mop pads during cleaning. Additionally, the robot can return to the dock at preset intervals to wash its mop pads, keeping them clean throughout the process. The robot lifts its mop pads when moving to avoid wetting areas unnecessarily and can automatically lift its brush roller while mopping, preventing it from floating ineffectively over the floor.

In practice, the results are impressive. The Qrevo Master efficiently mops floors, with its extensible mop pad reaching baseboards for a comprehensive clean. The FlexiArm design is particularly effective in cleaning corners, as the robot maneuvers around them and extends the mop for thorough cleaning.
The cleaning results are notably good, with the Qrevo Master removing most stains, including tough ones like dried coffee and sauce. During my tests, I added a small amount of detergent to the water tank, as there is no dedicated tank or cartridge. This, combined with the hot water, helped remove stains and dirt. While the toughest stains weren’t always removed on the first pass, the robot uses AI and its camera to detect difficult areas and automatically re-mops them for optimal results. If I were to nitpick, I’d say the VibraRise mop provides slightly better results, usually needing just a single pass to remove most stains, but it comes at a much higher price point.
Flawless navigation & obstacle avoidance
The Qrevo MaxV comes with both LiDAR and obstacle recognition, which help it navigate from room to room reliably. It’s never gotten lost or stuck during my tests, and always managed to reach the right rooms and go back to its dock.

Similarly, the built-in AI camera allows it to detect and recognize obstacles, efficiently navigating around them. The robot can even take a picture and plot it on the map, allowing you to see uncleaned areas.
I’ve deliberately left cables, shoes, and toys on the floor, but the Qrevo MaxV managed to detect and avoid all of them. This is a major improvement compared to Roborock’s latest models, which didn’t have cameras and often couldn’t “see” cables.
Impressively silent and decent battery life
Despite its strong 10,000 Pa suction power, the robot is particularly quiet. Regardless of the mode, the noise level is impressively low, allowing me to work, watch TV, or have a conversation without disturbance. However, I did notice the mop lifting mechanism makes a sharp mechanical noise. Fortunately, this sound is brief and not particularly bothersome, though it initially made me wonder if there was an issue with the robot.

The self-emptying process is somewhat loud but can be disabled during do not disturb hours. Additionally, the robot intelligently manages its emptying frequency, avoiding the need to empty after every cycle to minimize noise.
Regarding battery life, Roborock claims up to 180 minutes of run time. Depending on dirt levels and cleaning settings, it can clean up to 300 square meters on a single charge. If the battery runs low, it automatically returns to the dock to recharge and then resumes cleaning once recharged.
Easy maintenance
The Qrevo Master features bristleless brush rollers, designed to prevent hair tangles. It also comes with a small blade near the rollers, helping cut hair to further minimize this. Cleaning it is straightforward: simply remove the brush roller and clear away hair and dirt from the sides.

The dock uses hot water and hot air to wash and dry the mops, effectively limiting bacteria, mildew, and bad odors while ensuring efficient cleaning. However, unlike more expensive Roborock models, the Qrevo Master does not include a dedicated mop cleaning brush. Instead, it uses a washboard with plastic pimples to scrub the mop, which isn’t as effective.
The washboard itself is almost entirely removable, making it much easier to scrub and clean in the sink. It also comes with built-in scrapers, similar to the Dreame X40 Ultra. This helps remove dirt during when washing to mop, which helps reduce maintenance a bit.
Is the Roborock Qrevo Master the right robovac for you?
The Roborock Qrevo Master offers strong value for its $1,600 price point. It’s an excellent choice, especially for families with pets or children. It comes with a robust feature set, including hot water mopping, AI-driven obstacle avoidance, a flexible robotic side brush, two brush rollers, and an extending side mop. This makes its overall performance outstanding, with effective vacuuming and mopping capabilities that make it a worthwhile investment.

At $1,600, it is slightly more affordable than the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, which is priced at $1,800 but offers additional features such as a detergent dispenser in the dock, a superior mop washing system, and a sturdier design. It costs $200 more than the Qrevo MaxV, which worth it thanks to the FlexiArm side brush and the DuoRoller dual brush rollers, enhancing its cleaning efficiency.
There is also a launch discount that takes $200 off the Qrevo Master’s price, making it an even more interesting contender against the S8 MaxV Ultra.
If you want a high-performing robot vacuum but prefer to stay under the $1,600 mark, the Qrevo Master is a strong contender. For those on a budget, the Qrevo Pro might be a better fit. It offers similar features at $1,000. It lacks the flexible side brush, dual roller, and AI camera, but provides excellent cleaning results too.
