Dreame Bionic Multi-Joint Robotic Arm

Dreame unveils new bionic robotic arm and multi-mop docking station at CES 2025

In addition to the X50 Ultra, Dreame showcased two new innovative technologies at CES: the Bionic Multi-Joint Robotic Arm and the Multi-Mop Docking Station. While the first is similar to the Roborock Saros Z70, the second is quite unique on the market. Although both technologies have been demonstrated at CES, they’re not yet available commercially. They should, however, become available later this year.

Bionic Multi-Joint Robotic Arm

Similar to the Roborock Saros Z70, Dreame introduced a prototype featuring a deployable robotic arm: the Bionic Multi-Joint Robotic Arm. It uses a lightweight motor module with four joints that allow it to extend up to 30 cm and lift objects weighing up to 400 grams, such as toys or shoes.

The arm incorporates AI-driven object recognition, using monocular structured light and a binocular system to identify and pick up items like slippers and pet toys. A top-mounted RGB camera also provides a 360-degree view to monitor cleaning or interact with pets remotely.

Additionally, the arm is capable of operating cleaning tools such as brushes and sponges autonomously, reaching areas as narrow as 40cm.

Multi-Mop Docking Station

Alongside the robotic arm, Dreame introduced the Multi-Mop Docking Station, designed to reduce cross-contamination between rooms during mopping. It can hold up to three pairs of mops, automatically switching between them for different areas of the home.

This avoids transferring dirt and germs from one room to another, while potentially using different mops based on floor types. These include specific mops for cleaning, grease removal, or handling pet stains. The docking station automatically replaces dirty mops during cleaning, ensuring consistent results across all areas of the home.

Available later this year

Dreame presented these technologies to highlight its latest innovations, and how they work in everyday life. For now, they are not implemented in commercially available products. However, Dreame plans to release them during the year in an upcoming robovac.
