Dreame is one of the global leaders in the robot vacuum market, manufacturing a wide range of appliances to facilitate home care. Some of its best products include the Dreame X40 Master robot vacuum, but also the H14 Pro wet-dry cleaner, and even the Dreame Z30 cordless vacuum. At CES 2025, Dreame just unveiled its latest flagship robot cleaner: the Dreame X50 Ultra. It’s an evolution of the existing Dreame X40 Ultra, with a few added features that make it not only more powerful, but also more agile around the house.
Designed to clear thresholds and low furniture
The Dreame X50 Ultra’s main innovation is its ability to lift its body to clear thresholds of up to 6cm. Thanks to its ProLeap system, the robot uses retractable legs to push itself up and climb above thresholds like double-layer door sills of up to 6cm and small steps of about 4cm.

In addition, the robot is able to automatically retract and deploy its navigation dome, which uses a combination of time-of-flight and LiDAR sensors. This allows it to navigate under low furniture, clearing spaces as low as 8.9cm. This is similar to the Roborock Saros 10’s approach, which can however pass under even lower furniture.
Naturally, the robot also features built-in cameras and AI to create a 3D representation of its environment. This not only allows it to safely navigate in low-to-ground spaces, it also ensures it sees and avoids obstacles accurately.
Powerful cleaning
In addition to its navigational abilities, the Dreame X50 Ultra comes with impressive cleaning capabilities. These include an impressive 20,000Pa suction power, combined with a new detangling brush roller, and an extending side brush. This ensures up to 100% floor coverage, ensuring no spots are left uncleaned. It’s also the first time Dreame is using dual brushes, for maximum cleaning performance. The first is a hybrid bristled rubber brush, ensuring deep coverage on hard floors and in gaps. The second is a soft TPU rubber brush, perfect to lift up dirt from carpets.

The X50 Ultra also comes with improved mopping, with an entirely new washing system. It uses 20 spray nozzles and 80ºC hot water to clean the mop pads. This ensures thorough washing, while making the washboard easier to maintain. Also, in addition to washing and drying the mop pads, the Dreame X50 Ultra also uses UV lights to kill and remove bacteria. This improves overall hygiene, but also helps prevent bad odors.
The robot also comes with an improved dirt detection tech. It’s now able to intelligently recognize wet messes and clean them before vacuuming, similar to the Eureka J15 Pro Ultra.

Naturally, the X50 Ultra also comes with similar features compared to its predecessor. As such, it’s able to lift its brush roller and mop pads when not in use to avoid contact with the floors. Similarly, it comes with advanced pet-related features, which include more intensive spot-cleaning, as well as remote pet monitoring and finding functionality.
Price and availability
The Dreame X50 Ultra will start selling on February 14 for $1,700. In the meantime, it will be available for presale with a $390 discount code offered for $39. It will also come with an extra cleaning kit valued at $150 and an additional two years of warranty.
