Roborock Saros Z70 carrying a sock with its OmniGrip arm at CES 2025

Roborock Saros Z70: Watch it pick up a sock and move it out of its way

In a live demo at CES 2025, we were able to watch the Roborock Saros Z70 lift a sock out of its way with its OmniGrip robotic arm. To do so, it deployed it from its body, grabbed the sock and carried it all the way to a basket, where it dropped it.

The Roborock Saros Z70 is the brand’s most advanced product so far. It’s the first mass-produced robovac to feature a robotic arm to pick up objects. Called OmniGrip, it can fold itself into the robot’s body and deploy when needed. It can lift and put away small items under 300g like socks, papers, slippers, etc. The robotic arm can rotate on five axes and move both vertically and horizontally.

The OmniGrip’s operation is customizable using the Roborock app, allowing you to select which types of objects it should move and where to place them.

The Roborock Saros Z70 also comes with a new navigation. It combines 3D time-of-flight (ToF) sensors with RGB cameras, instead of a traditional LiDAR dome.

Thanks to this, the Roborock Saros Z70 is the slimmest robot vacuum in the market, measuring just under 8 cm. This makes it easier to clean under hard-to-reach furniture. In addition, the robot’s adjustable chassis allows it to climb over small thresholds, similar to the Qrevo Curv.

The Roborock Saros Z70 comes with 22,000Pa of suction power and a FlexiArm side brush. The robot also features two spinning mops that are washed at 80ºC.
