CES 2025: The Eureka J15 Max Ultra offers the ultimate cleaning experience

With the Eureka J15 Max Ultra, the brand just unveiled its most advanced robot vacuum so far at CES 2025. It’s an improved version of the J15 Pro Ultra we recently reviewed, delivering top-notch cleaning performance and smart features.

It’s designed to detect different types of dirt and adjust its cleaning strategy to ensure floors are left sparkling, while requiring minimal human intervention. It also comes with several improvements compared to the J15 Pro Ultra, including stronger suction power, a new extendable side brush, and a new threshold crossing tech.

With its advanced specs and AI features, it’s definitely one of the most powerful robot vacuums announced this year at CES, together with the Roborock Saros series.

Cleaning performance

The Eureka J15 Max Ultra comes with an impressive list of features. It boasts an industry-leading 22,000Pa suction power, similar to the Roborock Saros Z70 and Saros 10. In addition, it features a new extending side brush, similar to the one found on Roborock and Dreame flagships. The latter is arced, similar to the one on the Roborock Qrevo Curv. This prevents hair from getting wrapped around it, useful if you have pets at home. This tangle-free experience also applies to the main brush, which comes with a built-in FlexiRazor hair cutting mechanism.

Just like the J15 Pro Ultra, the new Eureka J15 Max Ultra also features an extending mop pad, which deploys to clean corners and along baseboards. The robot’s rounded square shape also makes it easier to clean corners, covering almost 99% of edges.

Eureka has also worked on a new chassis that helps the robot overcome thresholds. It’s designed to climb over thresholds up to 3cm, and even complex double-layer thresholds up to 4cm.

Lastly, the new J15 Max Ultra comes with a 6,400mAh battery, which is a huge improvement over the J15 Pro Ultra’s 5,200mAh battery. With this, it should have enough power to last longer, which was one of the previous generation’s shortcomings.

Built-in intelligence

The Eureka J15 Max Ultra also comes with added smart features. The new IntelliView 2.0 AI tech uses a combination of sensors to more accurately detect dirt, liquids, and obstacles. Using a combination of an infrared vision system, an FHD vision sensor, laser, and LED lights, the robot can scan its surroundings much more accurately. For instance, it can now distinguish transparent liquids like water, which the first generation sometimes couldn’t see.

The robot also adjusts its behavior according to the various elements it recognizes. For instance, when sensing wet messes, it mops the spill, washes the pads, and then resumes cleaning. Similarly, it can slow down its brush to collect dust and crumbs more efficiently.

Eureka has also developed a new pet search function, similar to the one offered by Roborock. When asked to, the robot scans your home to locate your pets and sends you their pictures through the app. What’s more, using AI, the robot can recognize pet beds, water bowls, litter boxes, and clean around them more thoroughly.

Price and availability

The Eureka J15 Max Ultra will be available in June 2025 for $1,299 in the US and Europe. Just like the previous generation, it’ll be sold in black or white.
