New Roborock Q Revo series : Complete and affordable robot vacuums

After announcing their latest flagship, the S8 MaxV Ultra, Roborock continues to unveil innovations at CES. This includes the new Roborock Q Revo range: the Q Revo Pro and Q Revo MaxV. Both are autonomous vacuum-mop robots, based on the original model.

They both feature a range of new additions, which are usually found on flagship devices, while remaining relatively affordable.

A Proven Design based on the Roborock Q Revo

The Roborock Q Revo Pro and Q Revo MaxV closely resemble the original Q Revo. They nearly replicate the compact dock design with a 4L clean water tank and a 3.5L used water tank, both located on top for easy access. The center of the base hides a 2.7L dust bag, reducing the need for frequent changes. The station’s front is adorned with a vertical pattern, offering a more refined look that fits into any interior.

The robot’s aesthetics also mirror the previous generation, featuring two circular mop pads for wet cleaning. Both models also rely on LiDAR navigation, together with obstacle detection, avoiding everyday mishaps, like dragged slippers.

Innovative, yet invisible additions

Despite an apparent lack of visible changes, probably due to reusing the same molds, Roborock has equipped these mid-range robots with new, useful features for more comprehensive cleaning.

Both the Pro and MaxV versions now have extendable mop pads, allowing for more effective cleaning along baseboards and furniture, covering 98.8% of the surface with only a 1.85 mm gap from edges. The new models are also more powerful, offering 7,000Pa suction and 200rpm rotating mops that can lift 10 mm.

Dock 2.0 station

The Dock 2.0 station can heat water to 60ºC to deeply clean the pads, effectively eliminating bacteria and mold, then dry them at 45 ºC to prevent bad smells from humidity.

The base can automatically detect the level of collected dirt, allowing for a second cleaning if necessary.

Roborock Q Revo MaxV: Exclusive features

The Q Revo MaxV includes an RGB camera for more efficient obstacle detection and recognition through Reactive AI technology. It also supports live video calls. Additionally, this version has an integrated voice assistant, Hello Rocky, for voice control without Google Assistant or Alexa. Lastly, the Q Revo MaxV can automatically lift its brush roller, preventing dragging when moving between rooms or in mop-only mode.

Price and Availability of the Roborock Q Revo Pro and Roborock Q Revo MaxV

The new Q Revo Series will be available starting April 2024 on Amazon and the Roborock Webstore. The Q Revo MaxV will sell for $1,200 and the Q Revo Pro will cost $1,000.
